Volkswagen is introducing new Black Edition versions of its ID.4 and ID.5 EVs.
Compared with the existing Match versions of the cars, the Black Editions feature extra equipment including 19in Onyx black alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, black exterior mirror housings, black roof trim, a black rear pillar, and black rear nameplates.
Inside, there are front sports seats with integrated head restraints, which also feature power-adjustable lumbar support and a massage function.
According to Volkswagen, this extra equipment is worth £4,625, yet the Black Editions only cost from £1,780 more than the Match specs, at £46,180 for the ID.4 (pictured), and £47,680 for the ID.5. The ID.4 Black Edition is also available with four-wheel drive, for £47,900.
UK sales will begin on Thursday, 29 May.
