Lloyds TSB Autolease boss Nigel Stead has been appointed as the new chairman of the BVRLA, replacing National Car Rental’s John Leigh whose two-year term of office has come to an end.
“It’s quite an honour and my challenge will be to help drive the BVRLA forward over the next two years,” said Stead. “We’ve got some exciting new developments coming through the pipeline for our members – new products, new information services and a new helpline – plus of course our ongoing work with Government in the UK and across into mainland Europe.”
Stead was appointed at the BVRLA AGM last Wednesday, where chairmen for the leasing, daily rental and commercial vehicle rental and leasing sub-committees were also appointed – Peter Cakebread of Marshall Leasing, Entrerprise Rent a Car’s Brice Adamson and David Farbin of Fraikin respectively.
