Land Rover will add the new 245PS 3.0-litre V6 diesel to the Discovery commercial vehicle range in September.
The new engine is more economic and more powerful than the older 2.7 diesel which will remain in the CV range.
The 3.0-litre model is only engineered as an automatic and is expected to cost from just less than £30,000.
