Kia has introduced a new entry-level version of its EV6.
The new variant features a 63kWh ‘Standard Range’ battery, rather than the 84kWh battery that comes with the rest of the EV6 range.
With the 63kWh battery, the EV6 has a range of up to 265 miles on the WLTP combined cycle.
Retaining the same 800V charging capabilities as the rest of the range, the new battery can complete a 10-80% charge in 18 minutes with a 350kW DC charger.
The smaller battery also delivers a slight reduction in vehicle weight, to 1,955kg.
The new battery is being offered with the existing entry-level Air equipment grade, with which standard equipment includes 19in alloy wheels, LED headlights, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, smart cruise control with stop/go functionality, a 12.3in driver display, a 12.3in touchscreen with sat-nav, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, seven years’ free Kia Connect telematics.
The EV6 63kWh Air is priced at £39,235. The first deliveries are due later in May.
