Fiat has unveiled a new mild hybrid version of its 500 city car.

The new 500 Hybrid will be sold alongside the fully electric 500e, with a choice of hatchback and convertible bodystyles, and Icon and La Prima equipment grades, as well as a Torino launch edition.

The powertrain includes a 65hp petrol engine and a 12V lithium-ion battery.

Standard equipment with the Icon grade will include 16in alloy wheels, LED headlights, a 10.25in touchscreen, air conditioning, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, and rear parking sensors.

Further features of the La Prima grade will include 17in alloys, tinted rear glass, a glass roof (hatchback only), heated front seats, a heated windscreen, a reversing camera, and sat-nav.

Prices are yet to be announced.
