Toyota and Nissan have appointed new fleet bosses to head their business car operations.
Neil Broad is stepping up from his previous role of manager, marketing and fleet promotions to become general manager of Toyota and Lexus Fleet, replacing Ewan Shepherd who has moved on to become the firm’s general manager, sales operations after just over two years heading up fleet.
Broad has been with Toyota since 1998, and will be focused on the launch of the new Auris, coming early next year.
“My challenge is to improve fleet awareness of this great British-built car and attract new customers to the brand,” he said. Toyota’s 2012 fleet sales are 14% up year-on-year.
The moves were prompted by Jon Pollock’s departure from Toyota to take up the role of Nissan’s corporate sales director, replacing James Douglas who recently departed for Audi.
Pollock returns to Nissan after 10 years at Toyota, having most recently been Shepherd’s predecessor as general manager sales operations.
