Toyota has unveiled a new estate version of its BZ4X electric SUV.

Badged the Touring, Toyota says the new variant offers a 33% increase in boot capacity compared with the regular model, at 600 litres. Its dimensions are 140mm longer and 20mm higher overall, at 4,830mm and 1,670mm respectively.

The BZ4X Touring will be available with a choice of front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive powertrains, with a targeted output of 224hp and 380hp respectively. Both powertrains will come with a 74.7kWh (gross capacity) battery, with a provisional WLTP range of up to 348 miles.

The model will feature an onboard charger rated at either 11kW or 22kW depending on spec. DC charging capability will be up to 150kW.

The BZ4X Touring will be capable of towing trailers weighing up to 1,500kg.

The model’s interior features a new centre console and revised instrument panel design, with a larger 14in infotainment screen as standard.

The BZ4X Touring is due to arrive in the UK in Spring 2026. Specs and prices are yet to be announced.
