Toyota has unveiled the four-door saloon version of its new Corolla small family car.
The saloon will join hatchback and estate bodystyles in the range, which is replacing the Auris, and marks the return of the Corolla name to this country for the first time since 2007.
The saloon features different front and rear styling to the rest of the range, but the same interior design. An extended 2,700mm wheelbase is shared with the estate, meaning increased legroom for rear seat passengers.
Available onboard technology includes an 8in multimedia touchscreen, 7in multimedia display, 10in head-up display and wireless phone charging.
Available safety systems include autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assist, road sign assist, automatic high beam and lane trace assist.
The saloon will arrive with the rest of the UK Corolla range during the first quarter of 2019.
UK trim options, specs and prices are yet to be confirmed.
