Nissan has announced it has recorded its highest-ever fleet registration figure of 63,358 last year – which it said is an increase of 13.6% on 2013.
The new Qasquai made up 42% of the fleet sales with 26,867 registrations, while the Japanese car maker said its dedicated electric vehicle team clocked up a 56% increase in sales compared to 2013, to 1211 Leafs registered.
Nissan said its share of the fleet market reached 5.4% – compared to 5.1% in 2013 – positioning it in seventh place in the sector.
“2014 was an outstanding year for Nissan’s corporate sales team, as it was for the wider Nissan brand in the UK,” said Barry Beeston, corporate sales director at Nissan.
“We launched five outstanding new products throughout the year to give ourselves one of the freshest and most exciting line-ups in the industry and increase our coverage of vitally important market segments, including the core c-segment,” said Beeston.
