Nissan has delivered 138 Primaster vans to British Gas for use on the energy provider’s service fleets.
The home services division has requisitioned 80 of the medium-sized vans with the remaining 58 going to the business services division.
During five years of service each of the Primasters are expected to cover 90,000 miles in the course of supplying maintenance provisions to households and businesses’ heating systems across the UK.
The short- and long-wheelbase vans are decked out in British Gas’s cyan blue paintwork and have been equipped with livery, internal racking and a telematics system by Nissan’s Special Vehicle Operations.
The Primastar deal follows British Gas’s trial last year of the Nissan e-NV200 as part of its plan to convert 10% of its 14,000-strong LCV fleet to electric power over the next three years.
