Drive and Survive has launched a fixed-fee driver-training program that charges the same regardless of what training is then provided.
Companies are charged on a per driver per month basis, with prices starting as low as £2.50. This brings just an online assessment, but the package can be tailored on a bespoke basis to include services such as driver training and licence checking.
The program, named Ensure, works “in the same way as an insurance policy”, said Drive and Survive boss Seb Goldin. Drive and Survive trialled the scheme over the past year with a large retail company’s fleet.
“As advocates for road safety, we believe safety should remain a priority not jeopardised by financial constraints,” said Goldin. “Fixing training costs smoothes cash flow and can help companies sustain essential training and manage the associated costs.”
