Facilities management firm OCS Group has signed a five-year sole contract with Optimum Fleet Management to handle its vehicle fleet.
Following a review, OCS will outsource its vehicle sourcing, driving support and back-office operations to Optimum, which will also provide a driver helpline and use of its fleet technology platform.
Optimum previously used Fleet Technique for its fleet management, which managed 1500 of its non-contract hire fleet.
OCS head of procurement and fleet Paul Morrison commented: “Optimum offers us an independent position within the fleet supply chain, deep domain procurement expertise and a leading fleet technology solution.
“These attributes will allow us to deliver bespoke fleet solutions across OCS, ensuring users have the flexibility to choose the right vehicle solution for their specific needs.
“In addition, we now have enhanced capability to focus on our other key fleet goals including improved data integrity and efficient deployment of telematics.”
Optimum chief executive Peter Rushton said the long-term deal gives the firm “considerable added scale to fund further investment in our fleet service and delivery capability, which underpins our plans for continued growth in the fleet services market.”
