Mercedes-Benz has confirmed UK specs and prices for its new electric GLC SUV.

The model, which is available to order now, is launching with a single powertrain option. This features two electric motors, one on each axle, producing a total of 489hp.

A battery with a usable capacity of 94kWh provides a range of up to 406 miles, and can be charged at up to 330kW at compatible chargers.

The new model has a wheelbase that is 84mm longer than that of the existing combustion-engined GLC, with a 520-litre boot.

It is the first Mercedes to be offered with a redesigned chrome grille, and comes as standard with the MBUX Superscreen, comprising a 10.3in driver display, 14in infotainment screen, and 14in passenger display. Higher spec versions instead get the seamless 39.1in MBUX Hyperscreen.

The new GLC is being made available with a choice of Sport, AMG Line, AMG Line Premium, AMG Line Premium Plus, and Premier Edition equipment grades.

Prices for the new electric GLC start at £60,350. The first deliveries are due in mid-2026.
