Vauxhall has added a new variant to its Mokka Electric small SUV line-up, with a greater driving range thanks to a bigger battery.
The new Long Range model has a 54kWh battery, allowing a range increase of more than 20% compared with the existing 50kWh version, to 252 miles on the official WLTP cycle.
100kW DC charging capacity allows a 20-80% battery charge in 27 minutes, or 11kW AC charging allows a 20-80% charge in three hours and ten minutes.
The Long Range also features a more powerful electric motor, with output boosted from 136hp to 156hp.
Prices for the Mokka Electric Long Range start at £37,610 with the Design equipment grade, and rise to £39,985 with GS, and £42,295 with Ultimate. All prices are £1,000 higher than the equivalent versions with the 50kWh battery.
Orders are open now, with the first deliveries scheduled for March.
