Vauxhall has opened orders for the Sports Tourer estate version of its Astra Electric lower-medium car.
The model features a 156hp electric motor, and a 54kWh battery, allowing a range between charges of up to 256 miles on the official WLTP cycle. DC charging speeds of up to 100kW allow a 20-80% battery charge in 26 minutes.
The Astra Sports Tourer Electric is being made available with a choice of Design, GS, and Ultimate equipment grades.
Standard equipment with the Design grade includes sat-nav, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, automatic LED headlights, front and rear parking sensors, forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, and traffic sign recognition.
Further features with the GS grade include 18in black alloy wheels, a black roof, sports-style bumpers, a 360-degree parking camera, adaptive cruise control, keyless entry and start, a heated steering wheel, and heated front seats.
The range-topping Ultimate grade comes with further features including LED pixel headlights, a head-up display, wireless phone charging, a panoramic sunroof, and Alcantara upholstery.
Prices for the Astra Sports Tourer Electric start at £39,995 for the Design grade, and rise to £42,345 for GS and £45,460 for Ultimate.
The first deliveries are expected during the second quarter of 2024.
