Top 25 UK leasing firm Pendragon Contracts has signed its largest ever fleet deal, after agreeing a 2600-vehicle contract with workplace services provider PHS Group.
The four-year deal for 600 cars and 2000 vans was formerly operated by Lex Autolease, and the new deal with Pendragon runs for four years. Most vehicles, cars and vans will be sourced from Vauxhall, but there will also be a small number of Mercedes-Benz Sprinters, while senior executives will be in Audi models.
“Although we over-ran with our previous fleet by two years, the vehicles were becoming less reliable, and Pendragon Contracts’ deal on the Vauxhall fleet made total commercial sense,” said PHS group fleet manager Nigel Bannister.
“Recently there has been a noticeable shift in activity with a number of businesses deciding to refresh their fleets, realising their existing vehicles cannot last forever,” said Pendragon Contracts’ head of direct sales Mike Roe.
