Peugeot has promoted Phil Robson to the post of fleet and used vehicle operations director following a six-month vacancy for the job.
Robson moves from Peugeot-owned dealer group Robins & Day and takes over from David Peel who left the fleet director role at the end of February to become boss of Robins & Day. Peel was only in the fleet job for a month after taking over from longstanding Steve Harris. Harris also moved to Robins & Day (as fleet operations manager).
In his new role Robson will be responsible for all fleet sales, Peugeot car and van rental, Peugeot Contract Hire and used vehicle operations.
“Peugeot has a terrific range of low-CO2 emission vehicles, which puts us in a particularly strong position in the fleet market,” explained Robson. “The launch of the ‘SR’ range of vehicles is particularly appealing for fleet drivers as it includes satellite navigation equipment and Bluetooth hands-free as standard.”
Commenting on the appointment, Peugeot UK managing director Pierre Louis Colin, said: “We’re looking for sales growth of our market share within all fleet sectors and understand how important it is to have products that appeal to business customers, especially with its strong green credentials.
“Phil’s appointment in this area will ensure we have strong leadership for our fleet team to achieve these objectives.”
