Skoda‘s member of the VW Group’s mini car family, badged Citigo, will reach the UK market next summer, joining VW’s Up and Seat’s Mii.
Described by the Czech brand as “one of the pillars” of its growth strategy, the Citigo is Skoda’s smallest ever model but is expected to retain a high specification.
It will be available in three and five-door forms, powered by 60hp and 75hp, 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engines, the lower output unit generating 105g/km CO2 and 62.8mpg figures.
Anticipating a continuing downsizing market trend the Citigo’s equipment includes a portable navigation system, linked to Bluetooth and the “infotainment” system. A brake intervention, collision avoidance system will also be offered.
