The new Skoda Superb has won the maximum five stars in the latest round of Euro NCAP tests.
Euro NCAP praised the upper medium for its robust crash protection and its autonomous emergency braking system, while it is also fitted with crash avoidance technologies awarded under the testing body’s Advanced Rewards scheme, including a multi-collision braking system.
The Hyundai i20 supermini was awarded four stars, and was praised for good crash protection within its segment. It missed out on the maximum five stars due to the lack of an AEB system.
Meanwhile, the Fiat Panda Cross was given three stars. “It failed to meet our width crash designed to evaluate the protection offered to small occupants in the driver and rear passenger seat,” Euro NCAP said.
