Vauxhall‘s new Corsa and the new Ford S-max have become the latest cars to grab a maximum five-star occupant safety
rating in Euro NCAP tests. The two big fleet favourites also fared well in NCAP’s other tests
The Ford achieved four out of five for child occupant rating and two from four for pedestrian protection. Meanwhile the Corsa was awarded three for both child occupant and pedestrian protection.
But NCAP caused a fuss after prematurely slamming Seat for removing the Leon’s seatbelt reminder. A Seat spokesman said the company hasn’t yet taken a decision, and all cars currently leaving the factory have the reminder fitted.
