Specsavers Corporate Eyecare has launched an e-newsletter for employers to keep them up to speed on legislation and compliance surrounding staff eyesight.
The newsletter covers all areas of corporate eyecare including health and safety, and driving – and informs employers of developments within eyecare, such as research into specific industry sectors and the wider health benefits of eye examinations. It will be produced twice a year.
“Companies talk about engaging staff and this is, of course, important. We recognise, however, that it is also vital to engage with employers. For an employer to be able to disseminate the facts about the benefits they offer to their staff and to encourage buy-in, they must first be aware of the opportunities and options that exist,” said Jim Lythgow, director of strategic alliances at Specsavers Corporate Eyecare.
“We aim to cover all three points of the communication triangle between us as the provider, the employer and their employees.
“The communication needs to flow in all directions and we are working hard to ensure this happens. There will be more developments to come in the near future.”
