Subaru has pulled the wraps off a new version of the Forester 4×4.
Known for its utilitarian nature, the fourth-generation model has undergone a significant restyle and is due to go on sale in summer 2013.
Two 150hp boxer engines – one petrol and one diesel – familiar from the existing Subaru range, will be available, as will a new 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol unit with 280hp.
The firm has not yet confirmed emissions or economy levels, or prices, but has said this version will be cleaner and more efficient, with greater refinement and more space.
Manual gearboxes will be standard fare but Subaru will also offer a CVT transmission known as Lineartronic with the petrol models, which is said to improve consumption.
