Zapmap has announced the results of its annual satisfaction survey for rapid and ultra-rapid public EV charging networks in the UK.
For the second year in a row, Tesla came out on top in the large network category, while Smart Charge, the charging network from Sainsbury’s, was the best-rated medium-sized network.
MFG EV Power came second in the large category (more than 500 chargers), with Ionity and Osprey equal third, while Be.EV was the second-placed medium network (150-500 chargers), with Fastned third.
Arnold Clark Charge was awarded an ‘up-and-coming network’ award for a provider that did not meet the minimum inclusion criteria.
Zapmap surveyed nearly 4,000 EV drivers during September and October to compile its ratings.
Zapmap co-founder and COO Melanie Shufflebotham said: “Many congratulations to all the networks, particularly Tesla Public Supercharger and Smart Charge, who top the rankings in their respective categories.
“This year we have 19 networks on the combined rankings table, with new additions and movements across categories showing the extent to which the market continues to evolve.
“These rankings provide first hand feedback directly from EV drivers, acting as a solid indication of which networks are more reliable, as well as giving the industry guidance on driver needs and priorities.”
