Omoda has announced updates to its 5 SUV, including to the E5 electric variant.
The E5 now features a battery with improved energy density, upping its WLTP range from 257 to 267 miles. DC and AC charging rates have also been increased, to 130kW and 10.3kW respectively, and a heat pump is now included with the range-topping Noble equipment grade.
Both petrol and electric models feature new front suspension geometry, and a new electric steering set-up.
Inside, there are new, larger 12.25in screens, which are now curved towards the driver, as well as a repositioned gear selector, a revised steering wheel, and a relocated wireless charging pad.
Six-way driver’s seat adjustment is now standard throughout the range, while Noble cars feature powered movement, as well as newly standard roof rails and 19in alloy wheels.
Omoda says that removing the previously available full-size spare tyre has increased boot capacity from 372 litres to 430 litres.
Prices for the petrol 5 start at £23,990 with the new entry-level Knight equipment grade, and rise to £27,490 with Noble spec. The E5 starts at £33,065 with Knight spec, and rises to £34,565 with Noble.
The updated models are available now.
