Vauxhall has unveiled a new all-wheel drive version of its Grandland Electric SUV.

It features two electric motors – one on each axle – with a combined output of 325hp.

Vauxhall says the model will be capable of 0-62mph acceleration in 6.1 seconds, and a WLTP range of up to 311 miles.

A 73kWh battery will be rechargeable from 20-80% in 26 minutes using a rapid charger.

Vauxhall says the new variant is its first full EV to offer all-wheel drive, and it features a dedicated AWD drive mode designed for slippery surfaces.

It also has design tweaks designed to improve aerodynamic efficiency, including aerodynamically optimised inserts on the front and rear bumpers, and 20in ‘aero’ wheels.

The Grandland Electric AWD also features frequency selective damping technology, designed to improve both handling and ride comfort.

UK sales are due to begin in Autumn 2025. Full specs and prices are yet to be announced.
