Vauxhall has announced that its GSE performance sub-brand will only be applied to pure EVs for future models.

The brand has previously been applied to plug-in hybrids such as the Astra medium car and the previous-generation Grandland SUV.

Vauxhall says that as well as being pure EVs, future GSE cars will feature a chassis set-up designed to improve driving dynamics.

Opel and Vauxhall CEO Florian Huettl said: “The GSE sub-brand stands for particularly dynamic, exhilarating, and emotional Vauxhall models.

“In 2025, we will take the next important step. The new GSE models will be fully electric. This demonstrates how powerful, exciting, and inspiring battery-electric mobility can be.”
