Vauxhall has added a number of video advice guides to its fleet website explaining topics such as benefit-in-kind tax, whole life costs, company car tax and road tax (VED) bands and P11D values.

The short videos – which are sited in what the manufacturer refers to as an industry-first fleet knowledge area with video tutorials (though leasing company Alphabet does provide ‘virtual handover’ videos to customers two weeks before vehicles are delivered) – are designed to help fleet decision makers and company car drivers to choose their next vehicles.

Vauxhall states that these plain English guides should prove particularly useful to smaller businesses that may not have a dedicated fleet manager, with responsibility for company cars potentially being managed by finance, HR or purchasing staff.

The fleet section also promotes the most cost-effective Vauxhall models available, with a number of fleet-focused tools and calculators on hand for decision makers and fleet drivers.

“With our fleet knowledge area and industry-first video tutorials, Vauxhall provides relevant tools to help fleet decision makers to make astute cost effective business plans, as well as helping company car drivers make informed decisions regarding their own tax liability,” said Paul Adler, Vauxhall’s fleet marketing manager.
