New equipment grades have been announced for the Volkswagen Golf.
Match Edition, GT Edition and R-Line Edition replace the former Match, GT and R-Line equipment grades respectively.
Each of the upgraded grades costs £400 more than its predecessor, but comes with further equipment that VW says would be worth £1,910 if specced as individual options.
The extra features are two-zone climate control, LED headlights, and a winter pack, which includes heated front seats, headlight washers, heated windscreen washer jets and a low washer fluid warning light.
The new grades have been introduced as the current-generation Golf approaches the end of its life cycle, with the new eighth-generation model set to be unveiled later this year.
The new grades are available to order now, with deliveries starting in October.
VW says customers who ordered one of the outgoing grades after 16 September will be automatically upgraded.
