Volkswagen has previewed its new small electric SUV with the ID. Cross Concept, unveiled at the Munich motor show.
At 4,161mm long, VW says the concept is similar in size to its T-Cross small SUV.
The concept boasts a 450-litre boot, with an additional 25-litre storage compartment under the bonnet.
Inside, the concept features a ‘floating’ centre console, and has an 11in driver display screen and a 13in central touchscreen.
The concept features a newly developed drive system, with a 211hp motor driving the front wheels, and a forecast range of up to 260 miles on the WLTP cycle. There’s a maximum braked trailer weight of up to 1,200kg.
The production version of the ID. Cross is due to be revealed in Summer 2026.
The concept is being displayed at Munich alongside a camouflaged version of VW’s new ID. Polo, pictured below, the production version of which is due for the first half of 2026.
