Volvo is planning to add a host of tax-friendly models to boost its fleet sales.
The fleet team, led by corporate operation manager Selwyn Cooper, spent 2007 concentrating on improving the whole-life costs of its products. This was achieved through lowering SMRs and improving residual values.
The next 12 months will see Volvo add the 136PS 2.0-litre diesel engine from owner Ford to all its ranges – bar the XC models – plus several more R-design packages. Similar to Audi‘s S-line pack, the R-design adds a body kit and specification upgrades.
Volvo will round off the year with the all-new, Freelander-rivalling, XC60 and an ultra-low CO2 version of the C30 hatchback dubbed Efficiency.
