Volkswagen has displayed the second version of its super-sized Golf, the Golf Plus, at the Bologna motor show.
The Golf Plus is based on the standard Golf platform and shares its looks with the new mark 6 version of the lower medium fleet favourite.
It is expected a 1.4-litre petrol engine and a range of 2.0-litre commonrail diesels with several power outputs will be under the bonnet of the large Golf.
Engines, as well as prices, will be confirmed closer to the car’s spring launch. Prices are predicted to range from £14,000 to £19,000.
A low CO2-emitting Bluemotion version is also expected, but the German manufacturer has yet to confirm it.
