Confectionary firm Wrigley has undergone a fleet review from its provider GE Capital, which, among other measures, involves a switch from a three- to a four-year cycle and delivery of 35 new Ford Mondeos.
The move is said to have created savings in the region of £300,000 with up to £1m predicted over the four-year cycle. A 20% reduction in average fleet CO2 has also been achieved in the past 18 months, dropping from 147g/km to 117g/km.
Simon Knight, UK field sales director at Wrigley, said: “We have entered into a five-year, sole-supplier deal with GE and the results we have achieved so far in terms of reducing our fleet costs have been very impressive.”
