As much as there’s almost nothing to complain about with the BMW?330d, the use of the word ‘almost’ reveals there is a small moan.
It’s the gearchange that provokes irritation in our otherwise virtually flawless BMW 330d. It’s both stiff and notchy, provoking an unseemly fight on occasions instead of the fluid slotting from ratio to ratio that would be more pleasant.
Having to shove through an initial notch of resistance has led to the occasional learner-style crunching where I’ve lifted the clutch before the gear has engaged. Not amusing!
