Having already suffered a flat tyre, the Insight’s now had its rear windscreen smashed – in central London between 6-9pm.

To guard against an overnight downpour I taped a binliner over the hole, which wasn’t a good look, particularly when some tape came loose, causing the black plastic to flap and slap about at 50mph down the A20 the next morning. To top it all off, Auto Windscreens had to go to Honda for replacement glass, which took a couple of days. They did, though, do a far better temporary job, using cellophane-type material when Perspex wouldn’t fit (above).
