Effectively living out of a car, as my partner and I did for our week-long tour of Scotland recently, teaches you plenty about it. One of the main things is how much storage there is around the cabin for general bumph and paraphernalia. This was a test the E-class passed with flying colours. Everything from munchies, maps and drinks to cameras, phones, chargers and sunglasses (which were actually needed a couple of times, in Scotland in March) were all stashed within easy reach of driver and passenger – particularly important where Jelly Babies are concerned.
