The quality of the Peugeot 308’s interior is something else, as mentioned briefly in our introductory report. But to understand why, you have to focus harder and closer. A great place to start is the new, large and shiny volume control knob on the pleasingly pared back centre console.
With knurled rubbery sides for great finger feedback and a milled metal-feel frontage to add class, it functions well and feels great – in a way reminiscent of, dare we say it, a Bentley. It’s a small thing maybe, but a sign that Peugeot has come a long way.
