Our conspicuous red Yeti has played its part in a minor domestic makeover by transporting significant amounts of redundant furniture to the local tip.

Fortunately, the less than intuitive operation of the rear seats’ folding mechanisms is offset by a combination of a high, square roof and low loading area that swallows an impressive amount of newly designated junk.

Curiously, the heavier the load the more settled the normally fidgety ride quality becomes. Fuel consumption, meanwhile, has crept up to 41mpg, even if the optimistic computer claims 42mpg.
