The start point for the best source of fleet information

Peugeot 207 1.6 5dr Sport - One Minute Test

Date: 23 October 2006   |   Author: Tristan Young

Price: £11,807

What's new: Until the GT goes on sale, this is the most user-chooser focused 207 available. It is powered by a 110PS 1.6-litre petrol engine.

Excellent: Like those well-known cakes, this car is an exceedingly good drive. The engineers at Peugeot have put the fun back into this vehicle, yet it is also totally civilised in town or on the motorway.

Good: The French car manufacturer has positioned the 207 well - the P11D price and equipment levels are competitive against its rivals, although the cost per mile is let down by.

Average: .an only average fuel figure that comes in at 40.3mpg. This is a result of the vehicle's high weight.

Poor: The Peugeot 207's weight also means that it feels slow. But this doesn't stop you having fun - it just limits your overtaking ability.

Verdict: Suspension set-up bodes well for the GT warm-hatch version due soon.
