Technically, all versions of the Defender are classed as commercial vehicles, although we consider that the four-seater 90 version, which we've already tested, is really a business car.
We've now got our hands on a van version - the 110 double cab with a CPM of 28.0p. It has five proper seats with the rearmost windows of the boot area blanked out. This means you can carry up to 1040kg in the back and you don't have the rear seats stealing space. And if you need more room, although not weight, then you can easily drop the rear seats.
As ever it's brilliant off-road, or in our case getting through three-feet high floods on our way home from the office (don't try this at home - the official wading depth is a little under two feet). It is, however, a shame that Land Rover hasn't widened the rear door in the revisions.
