Our Fleet Test Drive: Ford Mondeo estate - 9th Report

Date: 20 October 2008   |   Author: Guy Bird

mondeo - front

The Mondeo estate is a lot of things but it isn't short.

Although its 4830mm length seems quite manoeuvrable and willing to fit into most spots with a little help from front and rear sensors, we have a little gripe that the front parking sensors seems overly sensitive. They have an annoying habit of beeping like crazy whenever you meet small dips in the road - for instance driving out of a mildly sloping off-street parking spot or when meeting a differently angled road at a T-junction - which can be ultimately a little dangerous as you can start to ignore their electronic 'crying wolf'.
