Our Fleet Test Drive: Mazda 6 - 5th report

Date: 14 August 2008   |   Author: Tony Rock

France with the family was fantastic (barring slight mishaps, but more on that in our next full report), and the trip was made all the more relaxing by the Mazda's faultless behaviour on mile after mile after mile of French motorway.

It really has proven that it's a smooth tool for devouring lengthy journeys.

The 6's long-distance ability is helped enormously by having the luxury of a sixth gear. However, the feeling among other members of the BusinessCar team is that it really is just for cruising; the engine isn't comfortable in the highest gear below around 50mph.
