Our Fleet Test Drive: Subaru Legacy Sports Tourer - 2nd Report

Hadrian's wall

We've now put more than 1500 miles on the Legacy's clock thanks to a quick trip to Northumberland and a daily round-trip commute of just over 100 miles.

The result is that the engine seems to be even smoother than when the car arrived (with 200 miles showing). It feels quicker, too, which is surprising since cars normally feel slower the more you get used to them.

It's harder to tell if there's been any effect on fuel consumption. With so few fill-ups (it's doing at least 500 miles to a 64-litre tank) we've yet to be sure. Either way, we're seeing an average of 38.6mpg.
