The start point for the best source of fleet information

Hyundai i20 1.4 CRDi Comfort 3dr manual: Test Drive Review

Hyundai has added an all-new engine to its i20 supermini range.

The 75PS 1.4-litre diesel comes in below 120g/km, which equates to a benefit-in-kind tax band of 13%, and returns 64.2mpg. The downside to this efficiency is that it has a slow 0-62mph time of 16.2 seconds, although around town, at least, it feels peppy enough to keep up with the urban rush.

The engine is rattly at start and under acceleration, though, but it quietens down when cruising.

As with all Hyundais the i20's well kitted out and, offers ESP anti-skid control across the range - a rarity in this sector.

Being a three-door limits access to the rear seats, particularly given that the driver's seat doesn't have a quick-tilt handle. However, once in, there's good headroom and reasonable (for the class) leg room.

It may not have much brand prestige, but the i20's a sensible fleet choice.
