Our Fleet Test Drive: Ford Fiesta - 12th Report

Date: 18 September 2009   |   Author: Tom Webster

Fiesta courtesy car
Category: Supermini
P11D price: £14,020
Key rival: Vauxhall Corsa

Having the Ford go to the dealer to get its irritating buzz looked at has proved beneficial on several levels.

Apart from the obvious one of ridding the car of the irritating noise (more on that next time) it gave us the opportunity to try out the previous generation of Fiesta.

Just a few short journeys proved how vast the chasm is between the two. The old car is still a fine supermini, but the new one feels superior in almost every way, from the quality of interior plastics to the styling and the much more engaging drive.
