Our Fleet Test Drive: Honda Accord - 6th Report

Date: 06 May 2009   |   Author: Hugh Hunston

Honda Accord boot
Category: Upper medium
P11D price: £24,790
Key rival: VW Passat

Now heading for 7000 miles the Accord wagon cossets its driver and front seat passenger, but rear occupants have less than generous legroom.

The lack of a vast rectangular loading bay offered by its hearse-like predecessor is compensated for by a variety of storage compartments located around the cabin. These include three handy, realistically sized sections under the boot cover.

Because of its bulk our substantial Accord benefits from fore and aft proximity sensors and during several days of careful parking in the narrow cobbled, high-kerbed streets of Edinburgh's Leith district the Technicolor quality reversing camera was an additional stress-reducing asset.
