Like lots of other people I suffer with a lower back complaint, which many car seats can aggravate.

It's not a problem with the Qashqai+2, however. I've been able to travel for hours at a time in comfort, thanks to the seat (which seems suited to my body shape, and is heated - a bonus for approaching winter), its lumbar support, and the car's smooth ride. The only downside is the tilt-adjustment lever on the right-hand side, which can be a bit 'sticky' to tweak.

All that long-distance driving in comfort is having an impact on average consumption, which is climbing slowly, up 0.4mpg over the past several weeks to 35.7mpg. This is a decent result compared with the manufacturer's test lab combined figure of 40.4mpg.
