Postscript to my moan about the Laguna's audio system last time out. Instead of the usual single auxiliary input socket to plug in a generic MP3 player, Renault has used twin red/white RCA jacks.
Apart from having to spend a couple of pounds on a different lead it's no major trauma, but is an example of a car maker seemingly doing something different for the sake of it. Standard aux sockets work fine for pretty much every car maker, so why not follow suit?
The car is a bit left-field and that's part of its appeal, but not everything about it has to be unusual.
