Category: Small 4x4
P11D price: £28,785
Key rival: Audi Q5

There are a few things the Volvo does that other cars don't do.

For example, even with the ignition off it's possible to charge a mobile phone or other gadget in the cigarette-lighter-style power point in the boot.

Also, not only does the car alert you if it detects the washer fluid is running low, but it will disable the wash function for the headlights too, saving what's left for the windscreen.

Finally, when you lock the car, for about five minutes after the fuel filler cap stays unlocked, so you can safeguard your belongings while re-fuelling.
