The start point for the best source of fleet information
Citroen is under no illusions as to where the strengths of its new C4 lie. Rather than trying to take on the best-in-class from a driving and handling perspective, the French firm is aiming for those people that want a comfortable and well-equipped car. It's also aiming for the style vote, although the looks are a little too anonymous.
This 2.0-litre 150hp diesel variant has a great engine, both powerful and refined, while emissions of 130g/km and economy of 56.5mpg also impress. The interior quality is impressive, too, bordering on plush, and the boot is huge, but that does come at the expense of a little rear legroom.
Citroen has succeeded in making the C4 a comfort-orientated car with good quality, and while that's the sort of thing drivers learn to appreciate in time, it lacks a little sparkle or obvious appeal to attract in the first place.
