Jaguar has tried to keep the XF's dash as clutter-free as possible, which means running all the climate, in-car entertainment and navigation systems through the touch-screen system.
Which has two problems. I'm a compulsive radio channel-hopper, and if you're using the satnav, the only way to switch to another station is to exit map mode, change station, then go back into the navigation. Ditto going from the radio screen to turn off the heated seats, or a whole host of other functions. It's like Jaguar has tried to cram too much into one system, instead of having separate switches for something like the heated seats. It doesn't quite work out.
